What is Kid Power Academy?
We are a communication academy that specializes in a science-based method designed to help children overcome shyness and prevent public speaking anxiety later in life. Our philosophy centers around the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to have their thoughts heard, acknowledged, and empowered in an ideal learning environment, fostering essential leadership skills in kids.
Founded by Ester Du Von, CEO of Empowerment Communications Inc., our academy recognizes that many adult anxieties related to public speaking stem from negative early childhood classroom experiences. These experiences are imprinted in the brain, often leading to anxiety, stomach issues, shaking, forgetfulness, and panic when speaking. Research shows that three-fourths of adults fear public speaking situations, frequently declining social, academic, and professional opportunities to avoid such anxiety triggers. Ester understood that this issue could be addressed early on, through the right instruction aimed at children.
To combat this, Ester developed the Kids Empowerment Method, which not only prevents children from developing fears associated with public speaking but also establishes positive, endorphin-based responses to being in front of others and taking on leadership roles. This innovative approach creates an ideal space for children to grow, learn, and develop solid skills in leadership and communication.

We offer a specialized Common Core Curriculum for school districts, catholic schools, and private educational institutions, aligned with facilitator training for all three courses: Leadership, Debate, and Power Writing.
